Use your home PC's Claude Code & Codex from any PC
cgshare is one small Windows app you install on both PCs. The home PC runs your already-signed-in coding agents; the other PC just asks. Prompts travel through your own private relay, end-to-end encrypted — your account tokens never leave home.

Download
Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit). One app for both roles — the same installer works on the home PC and on every client PC. No administrator rights needed; it installs just for your user.
Installer (recommended)
Standard Windows installer. Shows up in Settings → Apps, uninstalls cleanly, adds Start Menu / Desktop shortcuts and starts with Windows in the tray.

PowerShell install
One line. Downloads the same installer, verifies it, installs and launches cgshare:

The script itself is short and readable: view install.ps1.
Portable app
Just the single cgshare.exe (≈11 MB, no dependencies, no .NET,
no runtime). Run it from anywhere — even a USB stick.

How it works
Three parts, all yours. Nothing about your Anthropic or OpenAI account is ever copied, extracted, proxied, or typed into another machine.
Home PC = Provider
Install cgshare where Claude Code / Codex is already installed and logged in. It detects both automatically. Your agents keep their own login, on that PC only.
Your private relay
A small relay server (yours) introduces your PCs and forwards messages. Both apps connect outbound to it — no open ports, no VPN, no admin rights on client PCs.
Connection bundle
Your relay admin gives you one cgshare1.… bundle code. Paste it into the app
on each PC and enrol — as Provider on the home PC, as Client everywhere else.
Ask from anywhere
On a client PC, type a prompt and pick the agent. The home PC runs it locally in the folder you allowed, and the answer — with real token usage and cost — comes back to you.
Install & set up
Five minutes, two PCs.
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1. Install on the home PC | Run the installer (or the PowerShell line). cgshare opens and shows your detected agents, e.g. Claude Code ✓ 2.1.x · Codex ✓ 0.162.x. |
| 2. Enrol as Provider | Role: Provider. Paste your connection bundle into Pairing / bundle, choose the project folder the agent may work in, click Enrol this PC, then ▶ Start provider. The window can be closed — it keeps running in the tray. |
| 3. Install on the other PC | Same installer. No coding agent and no account login needed on this PC — that's the point. |
| 4. Enrol as Client | Role: Client, paste the same bundle, Enrol this PC. |
| 5. Ask | Type a prompt, optionally pick claude / codex and a folder on the home PC, click Ask. Watch requests, status and token usage live in the window on both PCs. |
💡 Don't have a bundle? Bundles are issued by whoever runs your relay (for the tokensale.pc.am relay, that's the site operator). A bundle is a secret — anyone holding it can join your mesh until it's rotated, so share it like a password.
What's inside
One ~11 MB native app. No .NET, no Electron, no background services, no drivers.
Both roles, one app
Provider and client in the same window, or both at once. Native Windows window + tray icon, built with system APIs only.
Live request & token stats
Sent / received / running / completed / failed, real input & output tokens and cost per request, with a clickable history. Estimates are always marked as estimates.
Claude Code + Codex + Antigravity
Auto-detects all three agents on the home PC and runs them with their own local login. Choose the agent per prompt.
End-to-end encrypted
Prompts and answers are sealed between your PCs (P-256 ECDH + AES-GCM). The relay only forwards ciphertext, over a certificate-pinned TLS connection.
Revocable by design
Each PC has its own mesh identity — not your account. Lose a PC? Remove its device and it's locked out; your agent accounts are untouched.
Clean in, clean out
Standard MSI: per-user install, Apps-list entry, and an uninstall that removes the app, shortcuts, autostart and its stored identities.
Security, honestly
What cgshare does — and deliberately never does.
| Topic | How cgshare handles it |
|---|---|
| Your agent accounts | Claude Code / Codex logins stay in those tools, on the home PC. cgshare never reads their credential stores and never sends an Anthropic/OpenAI token anywhere. |
| Traffic interception | None. No proxies, no root certificates, no DNS tricks, no packet capture — on any PC. |
| The relay | Sees only ciphertext prompts/answers, device names and token counters. Transport is TLS with the server certificate pinned from your bundle. |
| What a client can do | Ask the home agent to work inside the folder(s) you allowed when enrolling the provider — with that agent's own permissions. Pair only PCs you control. |
| Stored on a client PC | Only its cgshare device identity (a revocable mesh key), in %APPDATA%\cgshare. Delete the app via Settings → Apps and it's gone. |
| Trust model | This is for your own PCs. Don't enrol machines you don't control, and treat bundles like passwords. |
Help & FAQ
Quick answers and fixes for the common bumps.
Do I need Claude Code / Codex installed on the client PC?
No. The client PC needs only cgshare. The coding agent runs on the home (provider) PC, where it's installed and logged in — that's the whole idea.
Does cgshare share or copy my subscription / account token?
No. Your subscription is used by your own agent, on your own home PC, exactly as if you were sitting there. Nothing about the account is extracted or sent to the client or the relay.
What's a connection bundle, and where do I get one?
It's a single cgshare1.… code containing the relay address, your mesh ID, a pairing code and the relay's certificate fingerprint. Your relay operator generates it (on the relay: create-bundle.sh). Paste it into the Pairing / bundle field when enrolling. Keep it secret.
The app says "enrol failed" or times out. What's wrong?
Usually one of: the bundle is incomplete/expired (ask for a fresh one), this PC has no internet access to the relay, or a firewall blocks outbound TCP 8788. Check you pasted the whole bundle, and that the relay server address in it is reachable.
The provider is running but my prompt never completes
On the home PC, confirm the window says Provider: ● RUNNING (closing the window is fine — it lives in the tray; check the tray icon). Also confirm the requested folder is inside the provider's allowed work folder, and that Claude Code / Codex works normally on that PC.
Which folder will the agent work in?
The work folder chosen when the provider enrolled. Clients may ask for a subfolder of it. Anything outside that folder is refused by cgshare before the agent ever sees it.
Are the token numbers real?
Yes when the agent reports usage (Claude does): cgshare shows the agent's actual input/output tokens and cost. When an agent doesn't report (or in mock mode), cgshare shows a clearly-marked estimate (~4 characters per token).
Can I revoke a PC I lost?
Yes — that's why clients never hold account credentials. Remove that device from the mesh (ask your relay operator) or rotate the mesh, and the PC is locked out. Your agent accounts are unaffected.
How do I uninstall?
Settings → Apps → cgshare → Uninstall. It removes the app, shortcuts, autostart entry and the stored mesh identities on that PC. (De-enrolling a provider this way means you'll enrol again with a bundle after reinstalling.)
PowerShell says scripts are disabled when I run the one-liner
irm … | iex runs in-memory and usually works. If your execution policy blocks it, use the MSI installer instead, or run: powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -c "irm https://tokensale.pc.am/install.ps1 | iex".
Does it work through firewalls / NAT / hotel Wi-Fi?
Yes — both apps only make outbound TLS connections to the relay, so NAT and most firewalls are fine. No port forwarding, VPN, or admin rights are needed on client PCs.
What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. The provider PC also needs Claude Code and/or Codex installed and logged in. The client PC needs nothing else.
Where does cgshare store its settings?
%APPDATA%\cgshare\config.json (mesh identities only) and the program in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\cgshare. Both are removed by uninstalling.
